The OFFICIAL HIDDEN MICKEY FAN CLUB!

Hello Hidden Mickey Fans!

You may recall that 'Pirates of the Caribbean' ride had a large-scale focus in HIDDEN MICKEY: Sometimes Dead Men DO Tell Tales!
'HIDDEN MICKEY: Sometimes Dead Men DO Tell Tales!'
this was the theme depicted on the cover...
(along with the 3 hidden mickeys on the cover, we hope you found them all)

So, looking at the cover of the sequel,HIDDEN MICKEY 2: It All Started...
'HIDDEN MICKEY 2: It All Started...'
you will see what appears to be a map of a Jungle area with a river running through it.
(also with 3 hidden mickeys on the cover) Since these books are about Walt Disney, you can quickly deduce that this sequel may have a focus on the 'Jungle Cruise' attraction at Disneyland, and if you guessed this, you are correct!  It is for this reason we thought you may like to see an issue of the Fan Club Newsletter on the Jungle Cruise.

'Jungle Cruise memories' will be the topic the next 3 months of Fan Club Newsletters.  We hope you Enjoy the stories!

Jungle Cruise memories' (part 1 of 3)

"Load 'em up" at the Jungle Cruise Attraction

Almost all of the Jungle Skips will tell you that we do what we do for the kids. We'll tell you that we remember being a little one on Jungle. We remember the magic of a live jungle and the smoke in the hippo pool as a daring Skipper saved us from the terrors below the water. For a lot of us being a Jungle Skip is a dream come true. It's something we've always wanted to do. That said, nothing will tug at a Skip's heart more then a little kid.

I wish I could remember her name but I can't. All I remember is that she was 6, and her favorite princess was Belle. I was standing on the dock, helping the wheelchair line, when a party came up with a little girl in a Belle dress. The first thing I saw was her dress, then a big blue Make-a-Wish button. She was bald, and had a paper mask, but beneath it was a smile from one ear to the other. I said something to her parents, then knelt down and started chatting with her. I asked her to walk out on the dock with me. I'll always remember holding her little hand. and asked her to pick out which Skip she would like to have as her guide.

Hidden Mickey Adventures are available in Hardback paperback and eBook

the 'back side of water' on the Jungle Cruise AttractionRon was tired. He'd been in the boat for 8 trips and counting. What he was hoping to see was his boat partner on the dock because that meant he would be out of the boat. As his boat pulled in I felt the little girl tug on my shorts. "I want him" she said. When Ron was done with his spiel I called over to him. "Hey Skip you got enough for one more?". He was about to say no when he saw that little girl. His entire face went into a smile as he replied "Load'em". I was bumped to a break shortly after loading the boat but I stayed around to thank Ron when he came back.

Get Out! I'm sorry that was rude, Please get Out! on the Jungle Cruise AttractionRon gave an amazing tour. The entire boat was clapping as he returned. The little girl was beaming from ear to ear, giggling with excitement. I watched as the boat slowly emptied out onto the dock. The girl's father waited patiently and then quickly walked up to Ron, leaned forward, and whispered something. Ron broke down in tears.

The little girl had been in and out of the hospital for two years. She had leukemia and the doctors said four months at most. This was the first time her father had seen her so happy. Her dad just wanted to say thank you, but that thank you shook Ron to the core.

Many thanks go to 'techskip' at MiceChat.com for his wonderful article 'Jungle Cruise memories', we are looking forward to the continuation of his remembrances... 'Jungle Cruise memories' Part 2.

Well... that's it for this issue...
Enjoy, and have a Magical Hidden Mickey Day!
